Ithaca Tango Weekend is a boutique tango gathering that blends inspiring social dancing, heartfelt hospitality, and the vibrant spirit of the Finger Lakes region. It's a place where dancers come together to connect, unwind, and celebrate the joy of tango in a weekend where people arrive as dancers and leave as friends.
It is not just another destination; it is a remarkable tango experience featuring delicious food from local farms, beautiful summer landscapes, waterfalls, swimming, hiking, and kayaking, independent cafés, and a creative, welcoming community.
Ithaca sits within an easy driving distance (about 200–300 miles) of major tango hubs — Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, New York City, Washington D.C., and Pittsburgh. It’s a peaceful getaway that still feels close to everywhere.
Ithaca is known for its quiet charm and breathtaking nature. With over 100 waterfalls, a vast lake perfect for kayaking and swimming, deep gorges waiting to be explored, and miles of scenic hiking trails, it’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind between tandas. Despite its size, Ithaca is lively, creative, and full of character — and everything is just 5–10 minutes away by car. No traffic, no stress, just simple convenience.
We encourage you to take a few extra days before or after the weekend to savor the region. Swim under a waterfall, wander through cool forest trails, or spend a sunny afternoon by the lake. If you’re in the mood for exploring, the Finger Lakes region is home to beautiful wineries, world-class craft beverages, and the world-famous Corning Glass Museum — all easy day trips from Ithaca. You can take a boat tour across Cayuga Lake, try fishing, or simply enjoy a quiet moment watching the sunset over the water.
All participants must register and purchase a full weekend pass. No walk-ins will be allowed.
